Casa Daniele

Casa Daniele is a dream Tuscan Holiday house, built with natural stones, located in a wonderful setting deep between olive trees and cypresses, near the famous Etruscan Cortona, with private swimming pool and big terrace, for 4 persons. Dogs are welcome!

There are two double bedrooms, furnished with great taste and care. One of them has a direct access to the garden through an arch door and the other has an en-Suite-bathroom with bathtub with shower system. Baby cot is available on demand.

The huge living room has big arched French windows, with a marvelous view of the garden. It is furnished with beautiful antique furnishings, a big table of massive wood and a cozy sitting corner by the fireplace. Precious and antique furniture are the main feature of this house indeed, the owner is a famous antique dealer. In this lounge, you will find a good place where you can comfy sit and laze, even when the weather is not good and you can’t stay in the terrace or by the swimming pool. The access to the kitchen is through a nice and characteristic arch. TV-SAT is available.

This spacious kitchen is very well appointed, with plenty of good cooking utensils and every kind of kitchenware for real cooks. It is furnished with fridge/freezer, a little electric oven, 4 burner gas oven, toaster, German coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and all the necessary to enjoy yourself, preparing tasting meals for you and your family.

There are 2 bathrooms, one with shower, with access both from the garden and clearly from into the house, and the other is an en-Suite-Bathroom with a bathtub with shower system. 

The extensive terrace is connected with the living room and equipped with garden furniture for your complete comfort. This area is really the best place where all the family could spend relaxing and lazing days. Just from breakfast, you can here enjoy the wonderful vista of the silver green olive trees and basking in the sunshine. This terrace has a southern exposure and so it is really a place in the sun, up to the late afternoon. With a glass of Chianti or a Prosecco you can relax in this divine peace and enjoy your holiday days. The children have a lot of space where they can play and run around without any danger, no streets, and no autos. A big masonry barbecue is available. There is private parking into the property.  

The swimming pool is only 80 meters away from the guest farm house, reachable through a romantic path that leads to an olive grove. It is located southern and so sun-kissed for all the day; illuminate at evening; it is equipped with sun beds, sun umbrella and outside shower.  This swimming pool is reserved exclusively to the guests of Casa Daniele.

This big property of 9 hectares is composed by 3 farmhouses, each with its own private street. One of them belongs to the owner of this big estate and the other two, Santa Cristina e Casa Daniele are rented. The three farmhouses are really distant, each house has its own swimming pool and terrace, both in a secluded position able to grant the privacy required. There, our guests can stay really at ease, quiet, alone and really undisturbed. The owner is an antiquary, who highly esteems the privacy of his guests, so he won’t disturb you, unless you directly will look for him. He speaks English very well and will be at your complete disposal for tips, information and necessities. An excellent Extra Vergine Olive oil could be brought directly from the owner. We assure you that this oil is better than those very expensive that you can find in the local shops; it is really worth to be tried!

This holiday Villa is a Paradise for a stressful and tired guests but it has even a strategic position that allows you to reach easily most of the main art cities of Tuscany and Umbria : Firenze, Cortona, Siena , Perugia, Assisi, San Gimignano, Pisa in a daily tour, helped by the proximity of the main A1 motorway or high speed rail link. We really suggest going by train to Florence, Rome or Arezzo: at the cost of few euro you will enjoy the trip and your touristic visit without the stress of finding a parking for the car. The holiday house Casa Daniele is only few minutes’ drive from the picturesque village of Castiglion Fiorentino, which is really worth to be seen and 40 minutes from Arezzo. Arezzo is our provincial chief town. It is a compact-city and its historical centre can be easily visited on foot. There are a beautifu cathedral, the church of San Francesco with the worldwide known Piero Della Francesca’s frescos, La Pieve, a beautiful Romanesque church, IL Prato, a nice and well-tended green zone where the people of Arezzo have a walk and the children run around. The Corso is the street of the shopping with many fashion shops, coffee bar, ice cream parlors and bookshops. On the first Sunday and Saturday of each month, takes place, in the old part of the city, one of the most important Italian antiquarian outdoor market   “ la fiera antiquaria“ with many exhibition stands and also second hand dealers that you can’t really miss. You will enjoy a lot and surely you will make a good bargain! The Etruscan Cortona is worth a look.  In only 15 minutes drive, you arrive to this beautiful village, set on a hill, surrounded by defensive walls with many churches, the cathedral, antique palaces that should be visited and many shops, coffee bars, ice-cream parlors and fashion boutiques for your shopping. Climbing up to Fortezza Medicea, you can have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Val di Chiana with Lake Trasimeno in the distance.  We recommend visiting the T-Bone Steak-Festival on Aug. 15, an important gastronomical event in Cortona. On a 14-square-meters grill stoked with burning resinous coal, some chefs prepare succulent T-bone steaks of Chianina race and underdone, in respect of the old Tuscan tradition. These tasty T-bone steaks must go with excellent Chianti DOC wines to satisfy the palates of all the refined people who attend the festival in large numbers every year. T-bone Steak Festival promotes even the sale of local and Tuscan typical products thanks to many gastronomical stalls, where you can buy the famous Pecorino cheese of Pienza, the cinta senese cold cuts, sauces and jams, wine, olive oil and the tasty cantucci biscuits. The right place where you can enjoy good food! The following week-end takes place the “Sagra dei funghi porcini” (edible boletus mushroom event), where you can eat many typical dishes prepared with porcini mushrooms and drink local wine. Distant only 2, 5 km from your holiday house, there is a little grocer’s shop which is open even on Sunday. Otherwise, you can go to Castiglion Fiorentino ( only 5 km), where you can find supermarkets, postal office, the railway station, bank, pharmacy, petrol pump, hair dresser, tennis, swimming pool, and pizzerias and restaurants.
