Casa del Sasso

Casa del Sasso is located in Casentino, near the little village of Talla, only 20 km from Arezzo, set on the top of a small rise, forming a hamlet with other 6 holiday country houses. This house has its own private garden and a covered sitting space, where the guests can stay undisturbed and have their own privacy.

On the first floor:  1 double bedroom  1 room with 2 single beds, which can be added to form a double bed, if necessary. On the ground floor:  With access from the terrace, the third bedroom is a double bed room with its own private bathroom, ideal, for instance, for a couple of fellow-travelers of the group, which have a different sleep rhythm.  1 or 2 baby cots can be added on demand. 

On the ground floor, there is a huge living room with sitting corner, fireplace and TV SAT. Big windows give to this room a beautiful view of the garden: really an idyllic setting, where you can feel comfortable and regenerate yourself. This lounge has a direct exit to the covered terrace, very useful in case of bad weather -rarely in summer - where you can sit, drinking a glass of Chianti, hear the sound of the nature or, at night, look the bright stars in the sky. This covered terrace and the big garden are behind the house and remain hidden from the sight of the other houses. You are alone, no another guests, no shared paths- 100% privacy! 

Near the living room, on the right, there is the kitchen, equipped with 4 burner gas oven, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. In a little extra-room, it is available the washing machine.

Bathrooms n. 3 Standard equipment:  shower, bathtub, bidet, WC, sink. On the first floor: 2 bathrooms, one with shower and the other with bathtub. On the ground floor: 1 bathroom with bathtub.

The holiday home has a private pool directly in front of the patio, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation.

The access road is asphalted, the last 250 meters are unpaved, it is a rather steep dirt road, not in good condition, to be traveled slowly; not suitable for low cars; other cars may have difficulty. Recommended for SUVs and off-road vehicles. The vacation house is located in an area where cell phone signal reception is zero (only Vodafone and Tim have a bit of signal).

This holiday house is located in Casentino, one of the most beautiful valley of Tuscany, near the little village of Talla, 20 minutes drive from Arezzo. Casentino is a still- untouched valley, with not so much tourists, the prices are normal and here you can really experience the Tuscan life. To do some shopping you can arrive in few minutes to Talla where you can find food shops and many retail shops for all your needs. Services: postal office, bank, pharmacy, petrol pump, hair dresser, tennis, swimming pool, and a typical Tuscan Osteria “ l’Orcello” where you could taste our local food. You can arrive in 40 minutes to Arezzo. Arezzo is our provincial chief town. It is a compact-city and its historical centre can be easily visited on foot. There is a beautiful cathedral, the church of San Francesco with the worldwide known Piero Della Francesca’s frescos, La Pieve, a beautiful Romanesque church, il Prato, a nice and well-tended green zone where the people of Arezzo have a walk and the children run around. The Corso is the street of the shopping with many fashion shops, coffee bar, ice cream parlors and bookshops. On the first Sunday and Saturday of each month, takes place in the old part of the city one of the most important Italian antiquarian outdoor market   “ la fiera antiquaria“ with many exhibition stands and also second hand dealers that you can’t really miss. You will enjoy a lot and surely you will make a good bargain! This Tuscan holiday house is located in a strategic position that allows you to reach easily most of the main art cities of Tuscany and Umbria : Firenze, Cortona, Siena , Perugia, Assisi, San Gimignano, Pisa in a daily tour and be back at evening at your beautiful holiday house in the peace and calm of the nature: the best way to end an unforgettable day. Casentino also is worth to be seen with its medieval villages: such as Poppi, Bibbiena, Stia, Pratovecchio. You will be enchanted by the many casentinese historic town, Romanesque churches, cloisters such as La Verna and Camaldoli, swathed in the greenery of woods and forests where you can take a walk. Everywhere you will find good pizzerias and restaurants, ice-cream parlors, and many retail shops, typical of the Italian lifestyle, which will make your Tuscan staying very interesting and pleasurable.
