The guest farmhouse Casa Federica is a former farm, restored with great care to maintain the original structure of this typical kind of Tuscan country houses: a paradise for families with children and nature lovers. Set on a hill with a wonderful view, it is swathed in the greenery of Casentino, a still- untouched Tuscan valley.

On the first floor: 1 spacious living room with fireplace, sitting corner with TV SAT, a big table and chairs, ideal for the meals of the entire group, when it is too cold to eat outside. The living room opens on a very good equipped kitchen. The furniture is pleasant, rustic and typical of the Tuscan country houses with terracotta paved floors, wooden beamed ceilings, massive and grand furnishings of walnut wood.

On the ground floor: There are 2 kitchens, each with 4 burner gas oven, sink, microwave, table and chairs for 4 pers., fridge and direct exit to the garden. On the first floor: There is a huge well equipped kitchen with 4 burner gas oven, sink, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, american coffee maker.

The holiday house Casa Federica is set amid a big farm of 31 hectares, mostly planted with olive trees, corns, bio-organic vegetables, orchards and wooded lands. It is a real farm, which produces olive oil, honey and bio-organic vegetables and fruits. A former barn is now an open, covered eating space with tables and benches for your meals with the entire group. Nearby, there is also a barbecue, with the woods always available and an aromatic herb-bed with lavender, rosemary, sage – so typical of Tuscany- that can be used by the guests. On a field, there are soccer real doors for athletic guests and for the children. The private parking is into the fenced property. All around the children have the garden, open meadows, green fields to play and run. You don’t have neighbors and you wouldn’t heard any car noise but, only the singing of the birds and you will release, refresh, let go, and forget about the stress of everyday life.

The illuminated swimming pool is near the house in a sunny and panoramic position. It is equipped with deckchairs, sun umbrellas and even an outside shower.  It may be used only by the guests of the house. This beautiful and peaceful place is the best to enjoy lazy relaxing days. 

The guest farm house Casa Federica is so composed: On the ground floor: There are 2 little apartments each with kitchen (4 burner gas oven, sink, microwave, table and chairs, fridge), 1 bathroom with shower enclosure, WC, bidet and sink, 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 bunk bed. Both the kitchen and the bedroom have a direct exit to the garden. On the first floor: The access to the third apartment is up a stone outer staircase. This apartment is composed by a spacious living room with fireplace, a well equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. In the fourth apartment live the owners of the farm, a young couple, which care directly for the guests and the maintenance of the farm, garden, swimming pool and manicured fields. The washing machine is available and it is an extra: 4 € per wash. The swimming pool may be used only by the guests.

Pets are not allowed

The street from the holiday house to the main asphalt road is for about 800 m covered with gravel. The favorable position of this house allows reaching both Florence (40km) and Arezzo (45km) within an easy trip. Most of the major art cities of Tuscany and Umbria such as Siena, Perugia, and Pisa can be reached in a daily tour. The bus stop for the public service that daily goes to Florence, is on the main asphalt road, where begins the gravel street. In this way, you can go by bus to Florence and visit the most famous city of Tuscany without the stress of finding a parking and, at evening, you will be taken back home again. From the little station of Pratovecchio, 5 km away, with our characteristic whistling train, you can travel all the Casentino and arrive in about an hour to Arezzo (departure about each hour). To do some shopping you can go to Scarpaccia, which is only 1, 5 km from the farmhouse, where you can buy bread and taste a very good sandwich with our typical products such as pecorino cheese, ham or sausage.  The nearest big shopping center is in Pratovecchio (5 km away), with a Coop Supermarket and many other shops. In Ponte a Poppi you can find many little shops and a supermarket (12 km away). “Consuma-Pass“, the most loved weekend destination for the people from Florence, is not so distant and, from there (height of 1.050 m), you can have a breathtaking view over the Casentino valley, one of the most beautiful Tuscan landscape and buy some of the typical local products such as Casentinese ham, porcini mushrooms and sheep’s milk cheese and taste them in one of the outdoor pubs.
