The Tuscan guest farmhouse Casa Laura is located near Castel Focognano in the valley of Casentino, one of the most beautiful still- untouched Tuscan valleys between Florence and Arezzo, on a really panoramic rise. From the terrace and the garden you can have a marvelous view over the landscape below for more than 50 km. It is an oasis of peace, a place where you can relax and forget about the stress of everyday life. You should only be focused on your well-being.
The Tuscan guest farmhouse Casa Laura is composed by two holiday houses which are connected by a wide terrace. For this reason they are rented together and they are the ideal solution for 2 families that, in this way, can have their own privacy, when needed.

Holiday house A On the ground floor, there is a bedroom with 3 beds with private toilette for the guests or domestic help and, on the first floor, another bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. on the first floor, there are 2 double-bedded rooms close to the bathroom.  The bedrooms are large, bright and cozy and have big windows. When another room to sleep is necessary, there is a little mansard with a single bed. Baby crib is available at request.

Holiday house A On the ground floor, there is a spacious and comfortable living room, equipped with a sofa, 2 chairs, a natural stone fireplace, TV Sat, and a leaf table where all the group can eat together without any problem of space. This living room has a direct exit to the big terrace. Holiday House  B The living room is equipped with a sofa, a natural stone fireplace, TV Sat, and a table. 

There are 2 kitchens, each equipped with: fridge with freezer, 4-burner stove, oven, sink, German coffee Machine , kettle and all necessary dishes. Ironing board and iron available, also all cleaning supplies and utensils. Apartment A) has a dishwasher, in apartment B) is a washing machine.

Each holiday house has a very nice tiled bathroom with shower unit, bidet, WC, sink of  excellent quality.

The garden and the terrace are really well-tended with a lot of flowers and Mediterranean plants.  The terrace has a sitting corner covered by a sunshade with a table and chairs where you can relax yourself and have your meals (a grill/ barbecue is available). The Garden is lighted at night: the calm and quiet environment invites the guest to have romantic dinners in total freedom or to spend evenings with the family in the mild Tuscan summer air.

Going down the stairs from the terrace to a lower level, you arrive at the new swimming pool which is a stone's throw from the guest farm houses in a very wonderful position. The sight from there is breathtaking and you have at your feet all the Casentino, one of the most beautiful Tuscan valley. 

This Tuscan farm house has been recently restructured by the owner, who has a building company. This beautiful country house was a Tuscan farm that maintains its ancient charm, constructed with natural stones and materials, wood and completely swathed in the greenery. The furniture is very beautiful and solid and will meet all your needs. Here you will feel like at home and you won’t miss anything! Close to the farm there is a little wood where you can have your walk. This place is a really oasis of peace, no cars, no noise only the singing of the birds and the relaxing sounds of the nature. It is like escaping to civilization in order to live completely dipped into the nature but, at the same time, you can reach in only 10 minutes of car the little village of Castel Focognano. It is the right place for the guest who is looking for peace, relax, nature and, at the same, for a romantic Tuscan holiday. The property is completely fenced and your children will be free to run and play in the big garden without any danger.  You can park your car inside or outside the property. All windows have mosquito nets (door windows do not have them).

To do some shopping you can go to Castel Focognano, only 5 minutes of car, where there is a little retail shop or if you prefer, in 15 minutes, you will be in Rassina, where you will find a supermarket, many retail shops, the post office, banks, pharmacy, coffee bars, a take-away pizzeria and a butcher’s shop, “Macelleria Fracassi”, very well-known in Tuscany for its steaks and ham of Casentino. There, with the help of the butcher, you can buy the real “bistecca fiorentina” or very excellent meats for your barbecue. Let you be spoiled by our local cuisine, you will appreciate it! Always in Rassina, there is a good rustic pizzeria-restaurant, “ il Mulino”, where you can eat Tuscan typical food or pizza at economic prices. On Wednesday morning in the main square takes place a little outside market, “ il mercato”, where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, dresses and shoes. If you need something more, Bibbiena the main village of Casentino, is only 5 minutes of car from Rassina. There you will find many little retail shops and a modern shopping centre with a Coop supermarket. In the village are present pizzerie, restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee bars, everything which are proper of Italian life. Services: postal office, banks, hospital, pharmacy, tennis, public covered and outdoor swimming pool, five-a-side football sport centre. If you like golf, there is a privileged location in Poppi with a marvelous and breathtaking view over the Poppi castle and its medieval village. Casentino is full of enchanting little historic villages, with their Romanesque churches, medieval castles (Romena, Poppi, Porciano), picturesque squares and mystic places such as LaVerna with its Franciscan friary and Camaldoli with its hermitage, the monastic community and the forest, where the time seems to be stopped for ever. Many other little villages are worth to be seen such as Stia, Pratovecchio, Strada, Chitignano and everywhere you will find pizzerias, restaurants, ice cream parlors: you have only to choose! Fortunally, Casentino is a still- untouched valley, with not so much tourists, the prices are normal and here you can really experience the Tuscan life.
