il Cerretino

Il Cerretino is a typical Tuscan Holiday Villa, set in a quiet, secluded location, all around only a big well-groomed garden, where your kids can play in total freedom, for up to 18 pers., with a private heated swimming pool. This holiday villa caters for even the most demanding needs and offers complete comfort. Dogs are welcome!

The holiday farmhouse “il Cerretino" is divided into 4 independent apartments with a shared Veranda. Two apartments have all their double bedrooms on the ground floor. Going up the stairs, the third apartment have 2 double bedrooms on the first floor, while the fourth has 1 bedroom with a bunk bed on the ground floor and a double bedroom on the first stock with an outer staircase that leads down to the garden.

Each apartment has its own living room with TV SAT, furnished with great taste. 3 of them have a sofa bed for two persons and the typical fireplace with natural stones. All the living rooms have a direct exit to the garden through beautiful glass doors. The shared Veranda is covered and equipped with comfortable sitting furniture for your relax and a big table with chairs where all the group can eat together.fully glazed and heated veranda with comfortable seating for relaxing and a large dining table with chairs for communal dining for the whole group.

There are 4 kitchens, each for each family that in this way can preserve its own private sphere, sometimes cooking only for themselves and having a coffee in total peace. The kitchens are perfectly equipped, each with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, 4 burner gas oven, German coffee machine, toaster and all the necessary to prepare tasting meals. The washing machine is available in another room. Close to each kitchen there is a service room with an extra sink useful to wash something in a speedy way. One of these kitchens is near to the big shared Veranda and it is so equipped that you can cook here for all the group. In the garden, in front of the veranda there is a cooking space for your summer grill parties, with a permanent grill/barbecue, a pizza oven built with natural stones and a drinking fountain with a sink. 

Each apartment has its own spacious bathroom, furnished with marvelous Tuscan ceramic tiles, with shower unit, WC, bidet and wash basin. Each bathroom is equipped with great taste and very excellent bathroom fittings.

Fenced, covered private parking, covered pergola, grill/barbecue, pizza oven. The park around this holiday house is really beautiful and well-groomed. There are many centuries old trees of the old farm, which the new owner has preserved and groomed. All around you will admire an hundred years old mulberry tree with a gnarled trunk and branches, walnuts, beeches, cypresses, old olive trees and many Mediterranean plants such as rosemary, lavender, and sage. A wisteria is climbing up the side of the house and during the spring offers an enchanting spectacle with its lilac flowers and its good scent.  You will spend here delightful, relaxing weeks. The peace and beauty is indescribable; the Villa absolutely lovely, seconded only by breathtaking views and manicured landscaping. During the cold winter days, looking at your holiday photos, once at home, you will remember with nostalgia but also with great pleasure your drinking a glass of wine or Prosecco at the sunset in the peace of this beautiful Tuscan house. A dream house for families with children, without any danger for your kids, no cars, completely fenced but at the same time an oases of calm and peace, no noise, only nature and healthy air! This holiday house grants you a total comfort and maximum safety; entry door with remote control alarm system, spacious covered pergola for parking, wireless internet access. There is also a wine cellar, where you can buy a good Chianti.

This heated swimming pool has a very particular oval form. It is equipped with sun beds, sun umbrella and outside shower. The big park has many big trees that provide a refreshing shadow for relaxing or reading a good book.Swimming pool heating (october - april) €150,00 per week

This traditional Tuscan style farmhouse has been recently renovated and designed to a very high standard, with great care, taste and application. During these years the owners have furnished this wonderful house with precious antique furnishings and objects such as paintings, lamps making this house really a jewel (their love for this house is visible in each detail). The rooms are very characteristic of the rustic Tuscan style with the original stone walls without plasterwork, beam ceiling and terracotta floor.

This holiday Villa is located in Casentino, one of the most beautiful valley of Tuscany, near the medieval village of Poppi. Casentino is a still- untouched valley, far away from the crowd of other touristic places of the region. The prices are normal, less expensive than the rest of Tuscany and here you can really experience the Tuscan life. Casentino is really the right place if you are looking for a holiday of relax and nature at 100%, in the wonderful setting of the holiday house “ il Cerretino”. Here you will have peace and relax but at the same time there is never a shortage of things to do and places to visit. Casentino is full of enchanting little historic villages, with their Romanesque churches, medieval castles ( Romena, Poppi, Porciano), picturesque squares and mystic places such as La Verna with its Franciscan friary and Camaldoli with its hermitage, the monastic community and the forest, where the time seems to be stopped for ever. Many other little villages are worth to be seen such as Stia, Pratovecchio, Strada, Bibbiena and everywhere you will find pizzerias, restaurants, ice cream parlors, little food shops and many retail shops for all your needs, not to mention “il mercato”, an outdoor market, in Poppi on Tuesday morning. During the summer, Casentino is animated by many local summer fests for example, “ la sagra dei funghi porcini” in Moggiona, “edible boletus mushroom event”, where you can eat many typical dishes prepared with porcini mushrooms and drink local wine and “ il gusto dei Guidi”, a wine event, the last week of August, in Poppi, where are present the exhibition stands of the most important Italian wine makers, a chance to taste our typical foods, drink a good selection of good Italian wines and know Italy through the Italian, their way of living, their traditions. we assure you that you will really enjoy yourself! If you want to combine a holiday in the nature with artistic visit, this Tuscan holiday house, out of its strategic position, allows you to reach easily most of the main art cities of Tuscany and Umbria : Firenze, Cortona, Siena , Perugia, Assisi, San Gimignano  in a daily tour and be back at evening at your beautiful holiday house in the peace and calm of the nature: the best way to end an unforgettable day. For your shopping you can go to Poppi. There, you will find a Eurospar supermarket, many retail shops, pharmacy, banks, ice-cream parlor, post offices and many restaurants and pizzerias. If you need something more, Bibbiena the main village of Casentino, is only 5 minutes of car from Poppi. There you will find many little retail shops and a modern shopping centre with a Coop supermarket.  Services: postal office, banks, hospital, pharmacy, tennis, public covered and outdoor swimming pool, five-a-side football sport centre.
