La Casa di Treno

La Casa di Treno is a very nice Tuscan Holiday house, set on a beautiful, well-groomed property, completely fenced, with private swimming pool and surrounded by the garden. It is located in the little village of Papiano, with an idyllic panorama, a really stunning view of the hills of the Casentino valley in central Tuscany. The 2 bedrooms have air conditioning.

There are two spacious bedrooms on the first floor, a double bedroom with also a single bed and a double bedroom. Besides, further 2 sleep accommodations can be added with a sofa bed x 2 pers., located in the living room. Both bedrooms have air conditioning (to be paid extra according to consumption €1,00 per kWh).

The really huge living room is on the ground floor and has a cozy sitting corner with sofa and chairs in front of the fireplace. SAT-TV is available and there is also a big table where the entire group can eat together.

Near the living room, there is the kitchen, equipped with fridge/freezer, 4 burner gas oven, electric oven, German coffee machine, dishwasher, moka, toaster and enough kitchen tops and large sink. A washing machine is available. There are also an iron and iron board.

There is a bathroom with shower on the ground floor and a bathroom with bathtub on the first floor. Both bathrooms are furnished with beautiful tiles.

The position of this holiday house on the top of a hill, up to the little village, offers a splendid vista of the surroundings and a far-reaching view up to 50 km, of the countryside below. Sports around Tennis (Poppi, Bibbiena), golf club Casentino (Poppi, 20 minutes drive), a public swimming pool, fishing, riding, mountain bike, walking/trekking.

The swimming pool is close to the holiday house and offers a beautiful view.

This holiday house is ideal for 1 or 2 families with children- the property is completely fenced and the swimming pool is close to the house-. The furniture is in typical Tuscan country style. The house offers all the comforts, shortly: this is a stone house with massive furniture and homely atmosphere, set on a beautiful position, with a stunning view of the rolling hills of Casentino.

For your shopping, you can go to Stia, the nearest bigger village, only 4 km away, where you will find many retail shops, supermarkets, ice-cream parlors, pizzerias, restaurants, postal office, bank, an a beautiful park with a little castle, “ il Palagio Fiorentino”, with thermal water that could be drunk. Casentino has many enchanting villages worth to be seen, such as Pratovecchio, Stia, Poppi with its castle and hamlet of the 13th century, Bibbiena, Strada, Chitignano, with their beautiful churches, piazzas and picturesque views. Everywhere, there are pizzerias, restaurants, ice-cream parlors that you should really try: which will make your staying very interesting and you really never get bored. Casentino is still an untouched valley. There is little tourism; here you can live among true Tuscans and the prices are „held down“. Worth a visit are the Cloister of La Verna and the hermitage of Camaldoli, swathed in the greenery of centuries old forests, where the time seems to be stopped for ever. A visit to Florence, Arezzo, Siena, San Gimignano, Cortona, Assisi, and Perugia is a „must“for all the tourists of Tuscany. Almost all the Tuscan art and cultural famous towns are reachable in a daily tour and at evening you will be again in the peace and tranquility of your country house. in 1 Minute, on foot- you can reach „da Loris“, a family business restaurant, where you can eat the dish of the house and the typical receipt of the place „Tortelli di Patate“(egg pasta stuffed with potato), - good food and special prices- very famous, with many people which come from every part of Tuscany – you should try it; you can really miss it!
