La Fornace

This Tuscan Holiday house, built with natural stones, is surrounded by the green, with private swimming pool, a big fenced garden ideal for children, barbecue area, all comforts available, for up to 10 persons; dogs are welcome. 
Only 25 km from the seaside, so you can enjoy at the same time the Tuscan countryside and the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea.

On the ground floor, there are a room with two single beds and 1 double bedroom with direct exit to the garden. Going up a staircase, you arrive on the first floor, where there are other 2 double bedrooms and 1 room with 2 single beds. If required, we can add 1 additional bed and a kid bed too. All the windows have mosquito nets.

The comfortable living room is located on the ground floor and has a direct exit to the garden and a vista of the nearby swimming pool. It is furnished with a cozy sitting corner with chairs, a table, 2 sofas, a fireplace and TV Sat. There, you can have your meals when you can’t stay in the pavilion area of the garden, in case of bad weather. On the first floor, there is also another living room with sofas, TV Sat , fireplace, chairs, table and a fridge for your cool drinks. There is also a CD Stereo that can be used also in the garden for your parties at the rhythm of the music. All the windows have mosquito nets.

This kitchen, with a direct exit to the garden and the nearby swimming pool, is furnished with a fridge/freezer, electric oven, 4 burner gas oven, toaster, German coffee machine, dishwasher, sink and with plenty of cooking utensils. In front of the kitchen there is a pavilion area for your eating “ al fresco”. A washing machine is available.

On the ground floor, there are 2 bathrooms, one with shower and the other with bathtub.On the 1st floor there are also 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a tub. All the 4 bathrooms have sink, wc, bidet.

The holiday house is surrounded by endless green, trees, bushes, oaks, flowers, many kind of herbs, shortly a lot of Mediterranean plants, for your delightful and relax. Children have a lot of space for playing and running and, near the swimming pool, there is a play area very good equipped with swing, slide and climbing frame. While the kids are playing there, their parents can control them from the swimming pool.  There aren’t any streets around, only a path under the house; the property is completely fenced with a garden gate and the area is 100% safe for children but also for dogs. The garden pavilion area is a perfect setting for eating outdoors. There you can drink a glass of prosecco or sip a perfect wine. This wonderful location will make your stay memorable and this Tuscan holyday will be always something to remember during the long cold winter days.

the swimming pool is near the house and it is equipped with deckchairs and sun umbrellas. It is really a wonderful place where you can relax yourself and have your sun bath in total freedom. The children can play here and you can look at them even from the house.

The location of this holiday home is perfect, surrounded by nature but, at the same time, a good jumping-off point for a trip to the sea (only 25km away). Take note that Tuscan beaches have received also this year the prestigious “blue flag” for their clean coastline and good water quality. The swimming pool is in a pretty situation, directly in front of the entrance door and invites to a dip or pure relax. Marina di Grosseto is only 30 minutes drive and you can have your baths, practice your water sports and enjoy the beaches along all the coastline of Maremma. Indeed there are a lot of free beaches, but if you preferred an equipped area, you will find many bathing establishments with play area for children, sun beds, sun umbrella, showers, bathing cabins that you can hire even for a day. At your arrival the owner will offer to you a welcome-basket with Tuscan typical products such as ham, cheese, salami and good local wine. The owners have a kitchen garden and the guests can pick the vegetables up and so eating really fresh vegetables, from the kitchen garden to the table!

The holiday house “ la fornace” is surrounded by the wild nature of the Tuscan Maremma and there it is never a shortage of things to do and places to visit.  The street that leads to the seaside is below in the valley; you can’t see it from the holiday house, concealed by a wall of lush vegetation, growing around the estate. You can only hear the wind direction of the bypassing cars in the distance, which doesn’t disturb at all.  The coastline of the Tuscan Maremma is 130 km of a marvelous natural spectacle, unlimited, fine sandy beaches, but also rocky cliffs where the wild weaves break on. Broad pinewoods near the beaches offer pure relax under their shadows for your lazing summer afternoon. Grosseto is the chief town and it is only few minutes drive away. With its 80.000 inhabitants, it is a lovely city with its historical medieval centre, the beautiful cathedral, churches, palazzos, squares, shops, coffee bars, ice cream parlors and all that can make a Tuscan holiday unforgettable.  Marina di Grosseto is only few minutes drive, directly in front of the sea, deep in a luxuriant pine-wood near the Maremma natural Park, with its fine sandy beaches and Mediterranean charm where you can experience an "all sea" holiday, relaxing, sunbathing, in one of the numerous equipped bathing establishments, and having fun with the many water sports that can be practiced, as sail, kitesurf and water scooter. We recommend visiting the Maremma natural Park, about 40.000 hectares of territory used as nature reserve. This biggest park extends from Principina a Mare 'till Talamone. Both flora and wildlife are very rich: luxuriant mediterranean vegetation with myrtle, strawberry tree and dwarf palm, and many species of birds such as magpies, sparrows, dappled-grey, goldfinches, barns, wild and little owls, green wood peckers, buzzards, kestrels and of wild animals such as hares, hedgehogs,  foxes, badgers, porcupines, roe bucks and wild boars.  On the flat areas of the Uccellina hills and on the plains near the sea, maremman cattle and horses are bred free, a spectacle worth to be seen. It really gives you the idea of the wild old Maremma, how this region was a century ago. Florence, Siena, Pisa, Livorno … can be easily reached in a day tour and a good idea could also be a shipping trip to Isola del Giglio, from Porto Ercole. If you have children a “ must” is a visit to the “Acqua Village” in Follonica, a water park opened from Juny to September, which offers a lot of attractions and where you will have a lot of fun. For your shopping the nearest village is Compagnatico ( 4km)- you can see it set on the top of a hill from your holiday house- where you can find few little shops but a very famous Restaurant, “ la Locanda del Glicine”, a Vip’s destination, where you can taste typical dishes of Maremma in an enchanting setting.
