Villa Farneto

New, near Arezzo! A paradise under the Tuscan sun - this is the Villa Farneto; a comfortable Tuscan luxury Villa for up to12 persons with its own private heated swimming pool, wellness spa and a wine cellar, set in a paradise location with a well-groomed and wide property , completely fenced. This estate is a real gem among the today wide range of holiday villas. 

on the 1st floor (which is the ground floor viewed from the rear side of house), there are:  1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom,  1 bedroom with 2 beds with en-suite bathroom,  and a third bathroom;  on the ground floor:  2 suites each with 1 double bedroom, bathroom and a small living room with sofa 1 bedroom with double bed and private bathroom,  1 further bedroom with 2 beds and a private bathroom. All 4 bedrooms on the ground floor have direct access to the garden, but don’t communicate with the 1st floor.

On the ground floor (or on the first floor- see above), you will find the spacious living room with cozy sitting corner, antique fireplace, sat TV, DVD player and CD player. next to it, there is also a dining room with access to kitchen and also to a large covered veranda, equipped with a dining table and chairs for your meals al fresco;  on the ground floor, there is also a studio with PC and Internet access, that the guests can use, phone and also a wide range of magazines and books.

5 burner gas stove, microwave, oven, German coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster, fridge freezer, washing machine, electric kettle, Italian coffee machine The kitchen, which is located between the living room and the dining room, is equipped with all the facilities including dishwasher, oven, open fireplace, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, kettle, German and Italian coffee maker, toaster; here, there is also a wall safe for the guests.

There are 8 bathrooms:  on the 1st floor, there are 3 bathrooms, 1 with bath tub and 1 with shower;  on the ground floor, there are 4 bathrooms, all with showers. All bathrooms have a sink, WC and bidet. In the SPA, there is 1 bathroom. At disposal of the guests, there are:  Hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, bath robes, slippers, towels and sheets for the shower and the swimming pool.

A big gazebo- about 35 m2 - with chairs and deck chairs is situated by the pool; it is at total disposal of the guests; here they can comfortably sit, read a good book by the pool, relax or simply enjoy a lazing holiday day – this is the best: a Tuscan holiday in a very elegant and cozy atmosphere! Fenced, outdoor whirlpool, parking, grill / barbecue, tennis table, parking place, covered pergola, wood oven for baking the pizza  4 mountain bikes are at disposal of the guests; right from the house you can make wonderful mountain bike excursions, partly on wood trails, partly on unpaved roads. Also for hikers, the house has a strategic position, in the wood nearby; they can make wonderful walks and / or early in the morning go jogging; There is a tennis table and for the golf amateurs, this property has a great extra to offer: on the 3 acres of the estate - right next to the swimming pool - there is a tee area and there you can exercise yourself as often as you want - golf irons and woods are available – The real Golf Club -the Golf Club Casentino- is only few Kms away, in Poppi. The garden has a stone oven for baking pizza, a grill / barbecue and the car parking area is within the fenced property. There is a small kitchen garden with all the summer vegetables and herbs, planted for the guests. WELLNESS SPA : on request €200 per week.

The swimming pool (5x10 m. with a depth from 1.2 m. to 1.6 m.) is located next to the house and it is equipped with an outdoor shower and another shower (hot and cold) is in the garden area. The pool is illuminated, equipped with deck chairs and sun umbrellas and the big highlight is that it is heated - this is really a great extra, which can be offered by few holiday houses so, even in the spring and autumn, the guests can quietly use the warm pool. Swimming pool heating extra to pay €200 per week.

The property is completely fenced and for your max safety, it has automatic gates; and so also the parents of young children shouldn’t have to be afraid of anything. The kids can play and romp; there are no dangers all around. The stylish 280 m2villa is furnished with precious, mostly antique furnishings belonging to the family; the equipment is even for the most demanding guest a joy for the eyes, an extra luxurious holiday house, where nothing has been spared to make the guests stay as pleasant as possible. The Tuscan style and the typical interior design have been perfectly preserved and you will find here a property, as a Tuscan lover really dreams and expects. The house, the pool and the garden can be exclusively used by the guests and no others. The maintenance of the garden and of the swimming pool are done very early in the morning but, you can arrange with the owner about the time you prefer.

Pets are not allowed.

Shopping, Restaurants, Excursions a wonderful extra: every morning comes the baker with his van and takes the pre-ordered fresh breakfast rolls.  You can order to him pastries, cakes, pies, breads, and so on… he comes every day and 1 per week he takes the bill and has to be paid. If you once don’t want to cook and you prefer to stay at home, because it is the most comfortable for you (if you have small children and you don’t want to go out) or if you have a family event to celebrate: a chef can be called and you can order him a typical Tuscan meal- let you be spoilt for a time! The landlord Antonio has delicious and precious wines; indeed, there is a small wine cellar with exclusive Tuscan wines, which you can purchase, if you will - the owner can give you a professional advice –  Of course, for your glass of wine at evening, this wine cellar is a super thing – YOUR BOTTLE WILL BE NEVER EMPTY; you will find always a good wine there, because we are sure you will agree with us: a balmy summer evening in Tuscany, in the garden, by the pool, with the song of crickets but without a good glass of Chianti is really an half-successful evening. A cooking class can be organized. You will find restaurants and pizzerias everywhere in Casentino; the owner will give you some good tips. You can shop in the nearby village of Castel Focognano (1 km away) where you will find small food shops or, otherwise, you can go to Rassina where there are more shops, a small but well-stocked supermarket and on Wednesdays morning takes place in the Piazza "il Mercato", the weekly market. If you need something more, in Bibbiena, only 10 km away, there is a shopping center with a Coop supermarket for all your needs. Arezzo is about 30 km away and it is our chief town. It is a pretty small town, with one of the bigger and important antiques market in Italy every first Saturday and Sunday of the month. We highly recommend a visit during “ la fiera antiquaria” : the whole city is "vibrant" . With few Euros, you can go by train from the small station in Rassina  and experience so a trip with our whistling little train, avoiding the stress to find a parking place for the car. Arezzo is a little town and you can visit it by foot without problems. Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Assisi, Perugia, Cortona and many other towns -all reachable in 1-2 hours’ drive- can’t really miss in a Tuscan culture program. The owner speaks a good English, so you will not have language difficulties; he comes every morning around 9.0 o’ clock to clean the pool and look after the garden and on this occasion, you can ask him all you want to know.
