Villa La Vigna

Villa La Vigna is a secluded Tuscan Holiday Villa, built with natural stones, with private swimming pool, dipped in a still-untouched nature, with a very well-tended wide park with Mediterranean plants and a lot of space (250 m²), perfect for big families with children.

This beautiful country house had been a farm for more than 200 years. Now it is a marvelous villa, recently restructured with a great care for details, with all the furniture new and of excellent quality: the ideal house for a Tuscan holiday, where everyone who loves the Italian style would like to stay.

on the first floor, we find all the bedrooms of the holiday house, 2 double-bedded rooms and a bedroom with two single beds. Besides, there is a big room used as mini apartment with a single bed and a double bed (a baby crib can be added at request) and a kitchen corner furnished with sink, stove, fridge, a baby high chair, two big chairs, a little table where you can have a coffee or warm the baby’s bottle. Down to a stair, this mini apartment has a direct exit to the garden and it is an ideal solution for a family with one or two babies that, among a group of friends, can maintain their private sphere and not disturb the friends who, on holiday, probably will sleep a little more than the children.  This mini apartment is perfect for a young couple too, that is looking for privacy and peace. All bedrooms have wonderful parquet floors and the typical Tuscan wood beams.

Through a big glass arch-door, from which you can have a marvelous panoramic sight of the property, you arrive to the charming hall of the house, furnished with sofa, chairs and a coffee table. Crossing this room, you will find a very spacious living room with fire place, excellent furniture, a very big and massive wood table, where the entire group can eat together without any space problem and a glass-fronted cupboard with a good selection of wines and grappa, olive oil that you could buy.  DVD player, TV Sat and stereo are naturally at your disposal.

The kitchen is close to the living room. It is spacious, bright and with furniture of very good quality. It has a direct exit to the terrace where there are a table and chairs for your outdoor meals. The kitchen is equipped with useful kitchen worktops, 5 burner gas oven, German coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and all the necessary kitchenware. At your request, let you be spoiled by a local cook and you will enjoy our typical cousine with a glass of good wine. The day of your arrival you will find bottled mineral water, all the necessary for the breakfast of the following morning and a basket of fruits as a welcomed gift by the owners. Monica, the daughter of the owner, speaks English and with his brother Daniele is always willing to help and meet the expectations of her guests.

The mini-apartment has an en-suited bathroom with shower unit, bidet, wc and a lovely marble wash basin. The room with 2 single beds has an en-suited bathroom too with bidet, wc and wash basin. Between the 2 double-bedded rooms, there is a wide, very elegant bathroom, all of white marble, with a Jacuzzi bathtub with shower attachment, sink, bidet and wc. The fourth bathroom, with an anteroom with two sinks, is located at low ground and furnished with shower unit, bidet, wc and sink. In the laundry room you will find the washing machine, the iron and iron board and a clotheshorse.

The terrace has a table and chairs where you can have your meals and in the warm summer evenings your Tuscan barbecue parties that will be unforgettable. A permanent barbecue is available for use.

The swimming pool, with its big dimension 14x7 m, is next to the guest farm house and it is near a little wood of oaks where you can move your deckchair to find a bit of shade. The swimming pool is equipped with sun beds, sun umbrella and a table.

This farm house belongs to a historical family of blacksmiths. Their artistic works, their furniture, beds, chairs, tables … give character to the house and make it unique (you can’t miss a visit to their showroom!). This holiday villa is really furnished with very beautiful objects, artistic treasures that make it a really dream house, the best of its kind, a privilege that this kind of villa could be rented. It has every comfort, a beautiful and quite location: no noise, no streets, no cars, a really oasis of peace!  Take note that this marvelous house is only a part of a bigger property “ Tenuta la Fiorella” ( give it a look) of 180.000 m2 with another big holiday villa with private pool (only 1 km away) that can lodge up to 14 persons. If you are part of a big group of friends, there is the possibility to rent all the two holiday villas together. On this estate there is a wood of thousand years old fabulous oaks, a vineyard which is carefully attended to throughout the year, fast 1000 olive trees and green, green everywhere, a paradise for families with children that here can play and run without any danger

To do some shopping you can go to Salutio(1 Km), Talla (3 Km ) or Rassina (5 km), a bigger village, where you will find a supermarket, many retail shops, the post office, banks, pharmacy, coffee bars, a take-away pizzeria and a butcher’s shop, “ Macelleria Fracassi”, very well-known in Tuscany for its steaks  “bistecca fiorentina” and ham of Casentino.  On Wednesday morning in the main square takes place a little outside market, “ il mercato”, where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, dresses and shoes. If you need something more, Bibbiena the main village of Casentino, is only 5 minutes of car from Rassina. There you will find many little retail shops and a modern shopping centre with a Coop supermarket. In the village are present pizzerias, restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee bars. Services: postal office, banks, hospital, pharmacy, tennis, public covered and outdoor swimming pool, five-a-side football sport centre. Fortunally, Casentino is a still- untouched valley, with not so much tourists, the prices are normal and here you can really experience the Tuscan life. You can drink a cappuccino or an espresso at the outside tables of one coffee bar and try each day a different restaurant or trattoria where you can really enjoy our typical cousine.  If you like our outdoor markets, you can’t miss on the morning “il mercato” in Rassina on Wednesday, in Bibbiena on Thursday, in Subbiano on Monday and in this way to know how we really live in Tuscany. From your luxurious guest farm house you can reach easily the most known and famous art cities of Tuscany and Umbria : Firenze and Siena in a hour, Perugia, Assisi, San Gimignano in a daily tour and if you don’t want to drive a lot, Arezzo is only 20 minutes away. Every first Sunday and Saturday of each month takes place in Arezzo a big and very important antique outdoor market “ la fiera antiquaria“ with many exhibition stands that create a very particular atmosphere in the city. In an hour, you can reach Cortona, a very beautiful and lively old Etruscan village with a stunning view over the Valdichiana and very famous for the Frances Mayes' book Under the Tuscan Sun that there has its setting. If you want to go to the lake, Lago Trasimeno is the place for you. It is an enchanting beautiful place where you can relax yourself and eat good fish in a local restaurant. It has beaches, sailing facilities, and ferry services to its islands, one of which is a natural park with lovely walks. In your farmhouse you will find a detailed info-map with a lot of information such as pizzerias, restaurant and so on… or better you can ask directly to the owners that will be happy to give you some tips.
